I Wish I Could Be A Squirrel

Ryan Corbley, Grade 3
Cedar Creek Elementary, Lanoka Harbor

I wish I could be a squirrel
So I could swing and twirl
I could run around
On the grassy ground
I'd eat nuts and seeds
Sitting on flowers and weeds
I could climb and run
In the nice hot sun
I'd be cuddly and furry
I'd never need to hurry
I would climb up trees
Chasing all the fleas
I could eat honey
Without paying money
I'd hang upside down
On the trees so brown
It would be so neat
Having little feet
I'd be in fresh air
In my little lair
I'd have a bushy tail
I could sit in a pail
I would be so cute
In my fur suit
