I Wish I Had a Snake

By Anthony Totera - Grade 3
Roosevelt Elementary School, River Edge

I wish I had a snake
His name would be Spike
He would slither into the leaves
He would be strong and have might.
He would shed his skin
And sometimes bite.
I would feed him once a day
.and sometimes play.
He would wrap himself around my neck
And that would be funny.
Spike would not like hopping bunnies.
He would like my friend, Mike!
I wish I had a snake. just like Spike.
