A Butterfly in the Breeze

By Devin Jack - Grade 2
Branch Brook School, Newark

The gentle wings fly in smooth ways.
One way is the flapping of the gentle butterfly's wings.
Be careful!

These are very sensitive creatures.
No matter if they are outside or inside,
The gentle but smooth flapping of a wing
Can soothe the gentle and fragile soul.

But yet a gentle tear comes from an eye.
One day the beautiful and yet spectacular butterfly will die.
